About the Midwife

Kim Headshot.jpg

Kim Pekin, MS, CNM, CPM

Kim grew up in the Rocky Mountain region, living in South Dakota, Colorado, and Wyoming. She graduated from Glenrock High School and then, after completing her Bachelor of Business Administration at Pacific Lutheran University, she moved to Virginia in 1995. After building a family and midwifery career in Virginia, she has finally returned to her beloved home state of Wyoming.

Kim is a dedicated mother of seven (two born at home with midwives) and a skilled midwife with nearly 20 years of experience. Kim has successfully operated two accredited birth centers in Virginia, helping thousands of families during their birthing journeys. Inspired by her own care with midwives, she believes that exceptional care requires taking ample time to listen to clients, build mutual trust, and create a strong relationship. Her approach is to provide family-centered care and help women see their power as mothers and as women.
